Are you a beginner interested in training at Sweat Depot? Or, have you boxed, but never attended Sweat Depot before?

Are you looking for a challenge? Boxing and MMA are definitely a high impact, high intensity sport.
Beginners and First-Time-To-Sweat-Depot-ersare asked to attend a BOXING BASICS class first - even if you have boxed before. We teach correct technique, correct combination calls and prepare you for the HIRT (high intensity resistance training) of our more advanced Fight Fitness classes.
Basics classes are 30 minute classes that are scheduled for 6 weeks during the school terms.

We are a small class coaching system, not a gym, so there are no membership fees. Just book a class on our super easy app and you have the ability to reschedule up to 60 minutes before the class commences.

Fight Fitness Classes - intermediate to advanced level training

One to two classes of FIGHT FITNESS classes will replace seven days at the gym because of our intensive weight bearing and metabolic training.

Our group sessions combine H.I.I.T. and H.I.R.T. with BOXING and KICKBOXING to develop your STRENGTH, SPEED and ENDURANCE.
We utilise the best equipment in the most innovative functional fitness programs - 10 hanging professional bags, chin up bars, slam balls, hex weights, kettlebells, torsion bars, sand bags and tyres with new programs EVERY class. It really is a group personal coaching session for this reason.
Enforcing correct techniques is a must. You will not be babied in these sessions.
A workout that is fast and furious to get those endorphins charging, achieve results FAST and have you coming back for more. We have two 20 second breaks with benchmark intervals so that you will never plateau and will always get a burn.

Coming to class for the first time?

Please turn up AT LEAST 10 MINS EARLIER TO BE SHOWN THE ROPES.
Class format and techniques are often explained PRIOR TO THE CLASS STARTING so you are missing out (and increase injury risk) if you arrive late.

What do I bring bring to class?

What should I wear?
Clothes and shoes in which you could run a marathon and do a comfortable kick to the head.

Boxing Classes for Rehabilitation?

Is boxing good for rehab?
Basics boxing classes (30 minute) may be good for your rehabilitation.

All other scheduled classes are Fight Fitness requiring intermediate to advanced fitness and coordination. Fight Fitness classes are not designed for rehabilitation if you have never boxed or done high impact fitness before.

In a post-COVID world wraps and gloves are like underwear: not for sharing. We can give you expert advice on gloves, wraps and MMA protective equipment which you can order at discount prices through us. You will get a FREE pair of wraps with every set of our gloves (wrapping is ESSENTIAL see wrapping instructions below). Please arrange to come 20 minutes early to your class to purchase these and be shown how to wrap correctly.

Boxing Hand wraps: an inexpensive way to prevent injury

Hand wraps are an inexpensive and essential part of any boxer's injury prevention routine.

We recommend a lycra blend wrap that is approximately 5-6cm wide and 4-5 metres long depending on your size and requirements. We have a range of hand wraps for sale that fit these requirements and our instructors are qualified in giving you the correct advice and instruction on how to use them. PLEASE NOTE: we do not recommend quick velcro wraps in any circumstances.
