a note on protein powders....
An explanation on the use of protein powders.
1. Plant based protein (with no added any shit things and transparent manufacturing processes: i.e.: just dried and wazzed into powder) is brilliant.
2. These are an excellent source of quickly absorbable protein to begin the repair of hard work.
3. More than 2 x drinks a day are not cool. You will fart like a trooper, and you need the fibre bulk of real food to get a good gut environment . Farting like this is usually an indication that you are not in great gut shape. The nose knows.
4. People who rely on protein powders for weight loss will CONCLUSIVELY, NOT MAYBE, put on 5% more body fat within months of resuming a normal diet. This is due to loads of reasons, but the KISS explanation is: your gut needs fibrous food to make you a normal functioning human. Normal functioning humans don't rely on powders for nutrition, unless they are morbidly obese and ready to fall of the perch (ie: death is imminent). Then, of course, drink away.... and don't stand near them in a room with poor ventilation.
